Send Briefwell monitoring alerts to Slack

Connect Slack to Briefwell with one OAuth install, then pick the channel that gets a message and a link whenever something you watch changes.

Briefwell is a proactive monitoring tool that watches web pages, data feeds, and topics on a schedule and posts to Slack when something material changes. Connect Slack with one OAuth install and pick a channel; Briefwell sends a notification with a short summary and a link back to the full brief, which opens in the Briefwell app rather than rendering inside Slack.

What the Slack integration does

Slack is a notify destination. When Briefwell's AI raises an Update on a source, bundle, or collection, it posts a message to the channel you chose, with a summary of what changed and a link back to the full record in Briefwell. Scheduled Reports notify Slack the same way once they're composed.

How to connect it

Connecting Slack is a single OAuth install from your Briefwell workspace. Once connected, you pick the destination channel directly in Slack's own interface — there's no webhook URL to copy, paste, or rotate. Any source, bundle, or collection can be pointed at that channel independently.

What lands in Slack vs the app

The Slack message is a notification with a link. The full brief — its composed narrative and inline citations — opens in Briefwell, not inside Slack. Every notification traces back to the source evidence Briefwell captured: the snapshot and the record of what changed, previous value to new value.

How it works

  1. Point Briefwell at the web pages, feeds, APIs, or research topics you want to watch.
  2. It checks them on a schedule, compares each result with the previous version, and keeps a record of what changed.
  3. When a change matters, Briefwell creates an update — judged and explained, with the evidence attached — and delivers it to Slack, email, your CRM, or a signed webhook.
