HubSpot connects to Briefwell two ways: a high-priority change can create a task or record, and a read-only OAuth connector can bring your CRM data in as context.

Briefwell is a proactive monitoring tool that can create a HubSpot task or record automatically when a high-priority change is detected. Separately, it connects to HubSpot as a read-only CRM data source via OAuth, so it can use your own companies and contacts as context for what it watches and reports on.

## What the HubSpot integration does

There are two separate connections. First, when Briefwell raises a high-importance Update, it can automatically create a HubSpot task or record — or comment on an existing one — with the details and a link back to the source. That action is opt-in and additive: it never overrides a human decision. Second, the read-only CRM connector pulls your own HubSpot data into Briefwell via OAuth so your sources can be enriched with it.

## How to connect it

Connect HubSpot via OAuth from your workspace settings. The record-creating action and the read-only CRM data connector are authorized separately, and the data connector is read access to your HubSpot data only.
